Ander Johnson is a top 2018 linebacker recruit from the 6A Kansas State Championship team, the Blue Valley North Mustangs: 

• Named one of the top 25 linebackers to watch by Sports in Kansas prior to his senior football season. 
• Elected team captain for the 2017 season.
• Racked up 10 QB sacks, third among Kansas 6A players and tops in the competitive EKL.
• 67 total tackles, 35 solo tackles, 3 Tfls, 1 PD
• Named Top 100 2017 Senior Football Players by Sports in Kansas. 
• Sports in Kansas State Sack Leader
• Named All-Eastern Kansas League Team Honorable Mention linebacker
• Recognized as Eastern Kansas League All-Academic Conference (GPA 3.42)
• Versatile player who played OLB, special teams and fullback during his senior season.

Junior Year Highlights

Ander completed his junior year as one of the top outside linebackers in the state of Kansas. Starting varsity in fall of 2016 for the Blue Valley North Mustangs, Ander: 

• Led the Eastern Kansas League in QB sacks with 13, ranking 3rd in all divisions and leagues the state
• Racked up 111 tackles, including 42 solo tackles and 8 TFLs
• Collected 43 assists, 3 QB pressures and 2 PBUs
• Caused 1  fumble and recovered 1 fumble

He led his team in productivity points and was recognized as the team's Varsity Newcomer of the Year.

During his junior season, Ander was recognized with: 

• Eastern Kansas League (EKL)  Academic All-Conference team (GPA 3.38).
• EKL All-Conference Linebacker honorable mention
• Sports in Kansas All-Junior Team honorable mention
• Sports in Kansas State Sack Leader  

At 6' 2" and 220 lbs., Ander's speed off the line and ability to quickly read the offense contributed to his QB sack record and success on the field.

A versatile player, Ander shifts easily from outside to inside linebacker, helping the Mustangs hold competitors to two touchdowns in virtually every 2016 game. He has also played running back on offense.

Ander started on varsity special teams as a sophomore in 2015 and on JV as a linebacker that same year for the Mustangs. He earned the MVP award for defense as a freshman.
